I was wondering about how Christianity integrates with EFT. There are a lot of naysayers out there. I did some work on myself the last two days of getting rid of negative stuff stored in my body. I find myself being different for the better, but there is a part of me pulling back that doesn’t want me moving into the new me. Like an inner battle. The old is looking for excuses. Anyone do the research on this and have even been confirmed to by God of using our meridians to heal our temples
-
Lura Dahlem Owen Rob:
Faster EFT and EFT are not the same. The only thing that is similar is the way it looks from the outside. EFT also works using the natural process of the meridian system, but it has a different mindset.
Looking to Sacred Scripture, you see Christ laying his hands upon the heads of those He is healing. This came down in the church as a sign of healing and of ordination. It was not manipulation, is was a grace and blessing.
Manipulation itself is a belief of being a victim. In FEFT we come above the victim level of thinking and move to the higher level of thinking, realizing how our wonderful minds and imaginations fill in the gaps of what we see and hear, coding it as memory to keep us safe. If I am afraid, I have created a fear response within myself by thinking fearfully. To change this, I change my own thoughts to gratitude and service, praise and worship, delight and joy. Then my body follows. This too, can be found in Scripture. What you think with your mind and believe with your heart will come to you. The same with our words, which are said to be from the thoughts of our heart. It is one system, working together, and it starts with thought.
When Robert Smith began his search to heal his wife, and therefore get rid of ”their” problems, he started with a minister who did guided imagery. He studied the natural state of trance. He studied NLP. He researched Scripture to find support for these. He’s done the work for us.
I have found that the ”Upper Level” thinking of how we have problems makes the confusion of parts of Scripture fall away. Seeing and believing are present in the texts.
The MINDSET of Faster EFT and the use of a blend of several natural modalities, including acupressure touch on the meridian relaxation points, is what sets it aside from traditional EFT. They think we’re broken and blocked and need fixing. (It was not an occult. It was a man noticing what happened to automatically heal when he used acupressure on his clients.)
Study Richard Bandler and the understanding of how our mind files things away to keep us safe. Study the recent people who are using this work, including EFT, to help people heal without pharaceudical toxins.
In FEFT, we believe, as Christ declared, there are no broken people, and all people are acceptable. We are successfully producing our perspectives. Changing that perspective with love, first inside ourselves, and then to the world, changes how we view ourselves and the world. It sets us free. There is nothing more Christ-like than loving your neighbor as yourself, which precludes that you must first love who you really are inside, a beloved child of the Most High God.
All is well. If you are feeling fear, it is your body’s natural response to letting go of safety programs to keep you from getting hurt. Your mind and body are one system. Allowing them to work together for good, as you were created, is a natural process. That’s why prayer does the same thing as FEFT. It uses our beautiful imagination to see our lives from a higher perspective, and changes the way we view our time in this world as beautiful spiritual beings in human bodies. It is holistic and honors the entire person.
I hope this helps. I get this question a lot from people here in Oklahoma who have grown up in fear-based religious backgrounds. Our God is not of fear. He is of love. And True Love for self, God and others, casts out all fear. That’s what we do with FEFT for ourselves and others. We calm the fear responses that we have learned.
Remember, there are only two fears that a child is born with: 1) Loud noises, 2) the feeling of falling. Everything else is learned.
Bless you this day, -
Robert Wayne Thank you Lura! Before I was reading this I was dealing with fear response, but I just noticed it shift and lose its strength. So did my body finally synch with my mind?
-
Lura Dahlem Owen Believe it to be so. Fear is dispelled when you look outside yourself. For decades I have had my depression clients do two things: 1) Praise!! and 2) Serve others. When you are doing either of these, you THOUGHTS are not on ”poor” you and you cannot feel fear or depression, so it leaves. After 15 years of marriage to a Borderline with Congenital Major Depressive Disorder, I had figured this out long before my case studies affirmed my conclusions. It applies here, as well. Feelings follow Thoughts. The end. Change your thoughts you change your feelings, beliefs, mindset, mood and approachability for others. It’s all about love. Love you. Love God who loved you into being, and Love others, whom He also loved into being.

Guy Proulx Wow, Lura.. I think that is very impressive and I wholeheartedly agree. I couldn’t have said it better. I would like to point out that there can be a world of difference between religion and spirituality. One comes from the outside while the other comes from within. Peace.

Lura Dahlem Owen Guy Proulx: AMEN!!!!

Olivia Brown This is so beautiful, Lura! This really helps me as well.
I am trying to reconcile my firm beliefs from FasterEFT with those of Christianity. Not the fear-based Christianity that is so often put forward here in the U.S., but something true and orthodox and at the same time NOT a syncretic blend that I design myself. It is challenging. Any resources or ideas that you have about this, I’d welcome… -
Lura Dahlem Owen Olivia: In my studies we started with a simple statement that I have used for decades now. ”It fits.” When someone is searching for a religious expression of their spirituality and worship experience, they may look to many groups. Finally, they walk in to a place where the ritual and the company FEELS LIKE HOME. That was my experience on Christmas Eve 1977 when I found a liturgy (service) that met my deep desires for worship, and I stayed. I’ve heard the same expression used countless times.
-
Lura Dahlem Owen We must Experience something to have it be REAL. Just like our FEFT beliefs state. Searching out is the way to come across the experiences. And the Goldilocks test begins. Not enough, Too much, Just Right! And it changes as we age and mature in our sense of who we are. It’s a process and a journey, not an event. Love, meditation and prayer, in whatever form fits, is where you begin. Tap out the fear response and indulge your curiosity. When you find it you Know that You Know. Home is on the inside. When your outside matches your inside, it’s a fit.

Lura Dahlem Owen My first ”blog” on my website addressed this issue because of its importance and frequency of occurrence … http://livingalot.com/worried-about-working-with-a-christian-practitioner/
-
Joanne Thompson Wow Lura would you consider adding that as a document on the practitioner’s site and here as well. GREAT info for those of us not so thoroughly or eloquently versed in Christian faith.

Lura Dahlem Owen My other favorite if from St. Francis of Assisi: ”Preach the Gospel always. And when necessary, use words.”
-
Olivia Brown I can appreciate that Lura. People with fundamentalist backgrounds like me have been conditioned not to trust their own feelings so it is definitely a process. I was caught in this for so many years.
So something feeling like a fit makes me wonder, ”…See More -
Lura Dahlem Owen Ah, the key words are ”will someday be condemned” for in Christ, there is no condemnation. Go inside, find the Divine Love, and look at where your beliefs are trying to keep you safe based on some past reference of human condemnation. If you can chan…See More

Lura Dahlem Owen There is no room for darkness in higher level thinking. There is only a search for the Light. Feeling ”lighter” is the fit. Let the fear and naming of entities of fear go, unless you enjoy that kind of scariness in your life. It has been overcome. Live and believe as if it is true inside of you, for it is Truth.
-
Olivia Brown What a fascinating discussion, I am enjoying this so much! The naming of entities is no longer necessary because fear has been overcome…YES!
-
Lura Dahlem Owen I love it! And I have posted inside my website concerning the Faster EFT Mindset and my Christian faith: ”It’s who I am. It’s what I do. It’s how I make sense of the world.”

Tracie Freedom Jesus is all about truth, FEFT is all about truth, Jesus is all about love, FEFT says to love yourself and others too. I find FEFT frees me to spend most of my day thanking God for this and that everywhere I go.
I used to spend time talking to Go…See More -
Lura Dahlem Owen Robert Wayne — thank you for your courage to put both of these questions out there within the group. And thank you, Joanne and others for participating and requesting this information as an accessible document. Both discussions are now uploaded on a file here, named: Christianity and Faster EFT – Discussion from a Christian Perspective 3.10.13.doc
